Hocaefendi için “O, ırk, kabile, din ayrımı gözetmeksizin çevresindeki herkesin gelişimine ve genel refahına öncelik veren bir barış adamıydı. Gerçekten çok özlenecek” ifadelerinin yer aldığı İngilizce mektubun orijinali şu şekilde:

LETTER OF CONDOLENCE AT THE DEPARTURE OF AN ICON; MR. FETHULLAH GULEN
I bring you warm thought of peace and love from the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja. On behalf of the Catholic Secretariat, I write to commiserate with you and the entire Hizmet community on the demise of the founder of the Hizmet movement, Fethullah Gulen.
He was a man of peace, one who prioritizes the development and general wellbeing of everyone around him irrespective of race, tribe or religion; he was ardent preacher of live and religious tolerance, He will indeed be greatly missed.
We remain in prayer for your and with you at this difficult time, we implore you and the Hizmet community and the entire Muslim faithful to remain strong in your submission to His will in this difficult moment. We pray you find consolation in the promise or resurrection to a better home.
