Thinking about M. Fethullah Gülen, I feel grateful for the impact his teachings have had on my life. His books helped me and my family find God and understand Islam in a new way. Before, we had fears and misconceptions about the religion, often seeing it as radical. Gülen showed us a peaceful and logical, compassionate, deep, realistic side of Islam that resonates with our hearts and minds. His messages emphasized spreading kindness and human values for the sake of God, which helped us embrace our faith more fully. I feel lucky to have learned from him, but I am also very sad about his passing. His teachings will continue to inspire us and all the world for the true face of faith and Islam.
